Get help

Email lore@rohittp.com. It helps to include:

  • your phone model and Android version,
  • Lore's version and model (Settings → About & privacy),
  • what you did, what you expected and what happened instead.

To flag a single answer that is wrong or harmful, long-press it (or tap ⋯) and choose Report response. Lore opens your email app with that answer, a category and an optional note, ready for you to send.

Share diagnostics

If Lore crashed or misbehaved, a diagnostics file helps us find the cause.

  1. Open Settings → About & privacy.
  2. Tap Share diagnostics.
  3. Choose your email app in the share sheet and send it to lore@rohittp.com, with a line about what went wrong.

The file holds up to five recent crash reports (with the app version, model, phone model and Android version), a log of step timings (numbers only) and a summary of your settings with the Brave key removed. It never includes your Chats, Memories, Attachments or API key, and nothing is sent until you send it.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the model download?

Lore picks a model to suit your phone's memory: about 2.6 GB for phones with around 8 GB of RAM, and about 3.7 GB for phones with 12 GB or more. You download it once, on first launch. Lore asks before using mobile data, the download resumes if it's interrupted, and you can look around the app while it finishes.

How much storage does Lore need?

Room for the model plus 1 GB, so about 3.6–4.7 GB free before you start. Your Chats, Memories and Attachments take more over time. You can delete and re-download the model in Settings → Model.

Does Lore drain my battery?

Running an AI model is hard work for a phone. Short chats use little, but long answers and Deep research (often 10–15 minutes) use noticeable battery and can make the phone warm. While Lore works in the background it shows an ongoing notification with Pause all, and you can Stop any answer from its Chat.

Why does Lore say “Unsupported device”?

Lore needs about 8 GB of RAM to run its AI model on your phone. On phones with less memory it shows the “Unsupported device” screen and downloads nothing, because the model wouldn't run reliably. Lore also needs Android 15 or newer. If your phone has enough memory but its GPU isn't supported by LiteRT, Lore still runs on the CPU, but answers much more slowly.

Why does search use the internet?

The model runs on your phone, but it only knows what it learned in training, up to a fixed date. For anything current or specific, such as news, prices or opening hours, Lore searches the web and reads pages, and that needs a connection. Your search queries go to DuckDuckGo, or to Brave Search if you add your own API key in Settings. See what leaves your phone.

Should I add a Brave Search API key?

It's optional. Without one, Lore uses DuckDuckGo. With your own Brave Search API key in Settings, Lore searches with Brave and falls back to DuckDuckGo if a Brave search fails. The key stays on your phone; any limits or costs of your Brave plan are between you and Brave.

How reliable is Deep research?

Deep research is experimental. Lore drafts a research plan for you to approve, looks into each question and writes a report with its sources. Small on-device models can still mix up numbers or details, so check the sources before you rely on a report.

How do I delete my data?

Delete Memories on the Memory screen and the model in Settings. Uninstalling Lore, or clearing its storage in Android's settings, deletes everything Lore stored. Lore sends nothing to us, so apart from anything you've emailed us, we hold no copy. See the privacy policy.
